FML. i cant charge my psp, for some reasons. it was fine when i was at yx's place. maybe the charger's spoilt. god dammit how do i play tonight?

it's been a pretty busy week, with chief coming to pay a visit to us.. i think it was quite an enriching session, helping us gain insights to leadership at its highest level, even though he looks like a malaysian ah beng, u can tell he's really knowledgeable when he speaks.. and he thinks really fast too.. damn, IF ONLY i was like him.. lol how i wished..

somebody's gotta explain why i'm here at home on a friday night.

oh god damn it, i cant believe i didn't get ippt gold. god damn it. screwed up my 2.4 run.. in fact, i didnt even get 5 pts for all stations, felt kinda tired.. but my running! i cant believe it.. i had 3 mins and 50 seconds to run my last 2 rounds to hit 9m 44secs, but i didn't manage to do it!

now guess wad happened? i was finished the first 200m of the 4th round, den i had this stomachache that was really urgent and the shit was like coming out anytime soon.. being that, cannot exert too much force to even jog, dont even talk about sprinting.. it was such a waste i started my run so well.. god damn it, now i'll have to report early to do ippt next wednesday again, cuz it's a must to get gold.. i will nail it the next time round!

u've just got to accept it that being the most junior around, u'll have more extra jobs to do. and another fact to know is only ur frens whom u went thru alot together with will not bully u, to the others, it's always their own interests first.

maybe i should learn how to safeguard my personal interests as well.

i've learnt a new lesson today, perhaps just to share and trigger some thoughts.. quoting my instructor's drawing and words:




now let's just take a look at the picture.

this is a curve that shows our general reaction towards stress. if stress is low, performance is low, in an ideal situation, the maximum stress we can take will give us the maximum performance. however, if we pass that threshold, we'll probably break and have low performance levels again if the stress is unreasonably high.

another takeaway is that different pple have different curves, for example, a normal soldier's curve might be the green line, and as officers to be, after going thru the training, ur curve may be the yellow one.. this picture clearly shows a mismatch between ur men's ability and urs. therefore the lesson learnt here is to learn to look at things from their perspective, because wad is generally acceptable for u might cause ur men to "max out"

ultimately, all of us should work towards the goal of improving our curve, moving outwards like the orange line..


haha.. i particularly wanted to share this, as a reminder to myself because sometimes i tend to be quite harsh with others, for example, my younger brother and many of my "brothers" out there, if u get my point.. things like simple maths question for my brother, and many others for my brothers.. lol.. well, i hope this teaches me to be more patient in future.

haha.. first of all, i must say i'm really touched that the they still remember me, afterall, the competition was only a 3 day event back in 2006, and there were so many of us.. they did tell me they'll invite me to go japan to umpire in future, but i didn't take it too seriously as i thought there are so many others around.. haha.. now even i wanna go also quite difficult already, cuz of my current job commitment, decisions like this is not within my control anymore.. bah... nevertheless, i'm still very happy to hear that they remember me! =D
